Your Daily Meditation

A free daily meditation to find peace, come back to what matters and feel more open to connection with loved ones who have passed.

It took me 28 years to learn what nobody had told me about grief...

I was eight years old when my younger brother drowned. My dad died when I was 30. Last year, I lost my mum, the final member of my immediate family.

For years, I felt stuck. I found it difficult to talk about my family. When I thought about them, I mostly felt sadness. When I didn't think about them, I felt guilty.

Grief can be incredibly lonely. Even when you're surrounded by people who care, it can feel like no one truly understands what you're carrying.

Like many people, I thought this was simply what grief was. That life after loss meant carrying the pain and somehow learning to live around it.

But then I discovered another possibility. Rather than trying to let go, I began building a different relationship with my loved ones; one that didn't end when they died. Through meditation and everyday moments of connection, I experienced their love and presence in a way I never thought was possible.

I realised I didn't have to choose between loving my family and living my life.

I could do both.

That understanding changed my life.

When I found a way to move forward without leaving them behind...

Their love and presence gradually became stronger than the pain of their absence. Instead of feeling disconnected from them, I felt supported by them as I rebuilt my life.

Rather than feeling I had lost my relationship with them, I discovered it could continue in a different way, and that changed how I experienced grief completely.

I no longer felt alone in my grief. I felt connected again; to my loved ones, to the world around me and to the life that was still waiting for me.

I stopped feeling like my future had been put on hold. I began making plans again. I looked forward to life again. I even went on my first rollercoaster!

I realised grief no longer had to define me. I genuinely fell back in love with life.

This understanding is at the heart of every gathering and coaching session I facilitate.

"I live on my own and have a number of family rifts, so I feel I haven't dealt with grieving or thinking about my Dad too much. So having a space to reflect on things is a good start to opening up again...it was a very calming experience to reflect and come back to yourself."
